Operation True Love Characters: Eunhyeok (Su-ae’s Love Interest)

Eunhyeok Go, a pivotal character in Operation: True Love, is a crucial figure in Su-ae Shim’s journey. At first glance, he appears aloof, reserved, and emotionally distant. However, beneath his cold exterior lies a deeply thoughtful and caring individual. Unlike Minu, who neglects Su-ae, Eunhyeok often steps in to support her, offering subtle yet meaningful gestures of kindness.
Eunhyeok’s past remains shrouded in mystery, but it’s evident that he struggles with personal burdens, possibly related to family expectations and unspoken emotions. Though he often masks his feelings, his actions such as protecting Su-ae and showing concern for her well-being, hint at a growing affection. Eunhyeok’s character adds depth to the webtoon, serving as both a catalyst for Su-ae’s growth and an intriguing figure whose true motives remain uncertain.
Dohwa Baek (Su-ae’s Best Friend)

Dohwa Baek, a charismatic and free-spirited character in Operation: True Love, plays a unique role in Su-ae Shim’s life. Unlike the emotionally distant Minu or the reserved Eunhyeok, Dohwa is energetic, playful, and unafraid to express himself. His confident and outgoing nature makes him stand out, and he often brings a refreshing contrast to the more serious undertones of the story.
Despite his lighthearted personality, Dohwa has hidden depths. He shares a genuine connection with Su-ae, offering her comfort and companionship without judgment. His actions suggest that he cares for her beyond just friendship, making him another key figure in the unfolding love dynamics. While he may initially appear as comic relief, Dohwa’s role in Su-ae’s emotional growth becomes more evident as the story progresses. His presence challenges Su-ae’s perception of love, making him an essential part of her journey toward self-worth and true happiness.
Ra-im Yun (Su-ae’s Sister)

Su-ae Shim’s stepsister, Ra-im Yun in Operation: True Love, is a striking contrast to Su-ae’s timid and insecure personality. Confident, popular, and seemingly perfect, Ra-im excels in both academics and social status, making Su-ae feel overshadowed. She is admired by many, including Su-ae’s neglectful boyfriend, Minu Kang, which only fuels the tension between the sisters. She betrays her sister by hooking up with him, showcasing her jealousy towards her sister.
Though Ra-im appears cold and distant, she is a complex character with hidden vulnerabilities. Beneath her composed exterior, she struggles with personal insecurities and the pressure of maintaining her flawless image. Her relationship with Su-ae is layered with rivalry, unspoken jealousy, and moments of unexpected care, making her more than just a typical antagonist. As the story unfolds, Ra-im’s motivations and deeper emotions come to light, revealing that her actions are not entirely malicious. Her presence challenges Su-ae to find her own strength, especially after her breakup with Minu and her budding relation with Eunhyeok.
Operation True Love Characters: Ruha/CEO of Marang

Ruha, the CEO of Marang, plays a pivotal role in Operation: True Love, overseeing the development of the Love Alarm app. As a highly intelligent and ambitious leader, he exerts immense influence over how relationships unfold in a world where love is dictated by technology. Ruha is mysterious, calculating, and unapologetic, prioritizing innovation over the emotional consequences of her creations. He introduces features that manipulate romantic choices, demonstrating his control over human emotions. His reserved nature and strategic thinking make him a formidable figure, symbolizing the growing power of technology in personal relationships.
Ruha’s character raises ethical questions about digital influence and the responsibility of corporations in shaping human connections. He represents the conflict between technological advancement and genuine emotions, making him a complex and thought-provoking character in the webtoon.
Major Chapter: Episode 65 (Bus Accident)

Su-ae decides to leave school early to avoid any conversation related to Minu and Eunhyeok. Back at school, Dohwa hits Minu for disrespecting Su-ae (He was unaware the school microphone was on while talking to his friends). Su-ae boards a bus, completely unaware that Eunhyeok is sitting right behind her. A text from him suddenly pops up on her phone: “Where are you going?” She casually responds, “Just felt like going for a drive!”
Operation: True Love Chapter 65 beautifully highlights Eunhyeok’s quiet but caring nature. When he notices Su-ae shivering, he subtly turns off the air conditioner. He also rests his hand against the window to support her as she dozes off. When she wakes up, she catches a glimpse of his reflection on a small screen in front of her and turns in surprise. In that moment, it all becomes clear, through every hardship, every moment she felt alone, Eunhyeok had always been there. Meanwhile, the Marang President watches Su-ae’s CCTV footage in his car, wondering about the letters she continues sending. Suddenly, outside his window, he spots Eunhyeok and Su-ae and an explosion engulfs the bus in flames.
